A continuation of last nights search, this time deploying from the North Cliffs car park of Tehidy Woods after new information. Unfortunately, the police helicopter located the body of a female at the foot of the cliffs near Bassets Cove and the search was stood down.

In the second call out of a very long day for the team, we were called out to search for a high risk 71 year old missing female. Team members and a SARDA search dog were quickly deployed in to the woods and surrounding countryside. An HM Coastguard team from Portreath also assisted with the coastal areas however Rescue helicopter 193 had to turn back due to the bad weather. The search continued until 3am without a result.
An early morning search after a van was located balancing precariously over a fast flowing river having collided with a bridge. There was evidence that the occupants may be injured however they could not be located. The team conducted a full river bank search, including surrounding countryside and woodland with a negative result.
We were stood down while police continued their enquiries, which eventually located the male.
The vehicle belonging to a high risk missing person was located in a car park at Holywell Bay prompting a full scale search involving HM Coastguard, RNLI and helicopter resources. The team were quickly stood down again after the missing person was located by police.
A stand by for a high risk missing person search in the Penzance and Hayle areas. Police continued with enquiries to try and define a search area, eventually locating the 37 year old missing male in the Rosudgeon area shortly after the original request for assistance.
The team were originally placed on stand by for a search in the Hayle area at around 1700 hrs, with a full call out being issued at 1800 hrs. We were stood down shortly after.
Call out to search for a 62 year old high risk missing person in the St Dennis area. As the team were en route, the police received new information and relocated the RV point to Newquay. After two hours of searching, the team were stood down by the police who had located the missing person through local enquiries. We were then redeployed to another callout in the Hayle area.
The team were placed on stand by to search inland areas of Marazion after a push bike was found in unusual circumstances at 1700 hrs. HM Coastguard and RNLI resources conducted searches of Mounts Bay and rescued a drifting paddleboarder at around 2200 hrs after a lengthy sea and air search. A very lucky man.
The police requested the assistance of the team to assist with the search of a young child who had been seen by a member of the public. Police conducted enquiries to establish if anyone was missing, whilst a police helicopter, dog units and CSRT were tasked to conduct searches of the surrounding area. Seventeen team members and one SARDA dog were stood down en route after the child was found to have returned home safe and well.
The team were called to assist with a search for a missing 65 year old male in the Constantine area, but were stood down shortly after when the missing person was located by police.
Call out to assist police with the search of a despondent 75 year old female. As the team were gathering at the RV point, the missing person was recovered from the shoreline and airlifted to Treliske Hospital by Rescue 193 from RNAS Culdrose in a serious condition.

The team were called to assist Devon & Cornwall Police to search for a high-risk missing 29 year old male in the Falmouth area. Ten team members responded, and the male was found safe and well just before 11pm.
South Western Ambulance Service placed the team on stand by to assist with the evacuation of a female from Tehidy Woods. Three team members attended the scene to assess the situation however the full team were not required to attend.
The team were called to search for an 87 year old missing male in the Polperro area. An extensive search involving the police and coastguard was conducted of the village and surrounding coastline. The male was located, cold but otherwise well by HM Coastguard on the outskirts of Looe.
Call to assist South Western Ambulance Service with the evacuation of a 17 year old female undertaking a Duke of Edinburghs Award expedition on the Penwith Moors after she sustained an injury to her knee. Team members stretchered the female to a waiting ambulance.
