Welcome to our new look news page, we hope you like it. It will give us the opportunity to provide more regular updates on the team’s activity.
May is a busy time for the team as we have a number of regular commitments for Standby Rescue Cover.
The first is on Sunday 6th May when we will be attending the Annual Bodmin Ten Tors event. A week ahead of its more famous neighbour, the Dartmoor Ten Tors, the Cornish version is organised by Bodmin Lions and has been running for over 25 years.
Both vehicles and a team contingent will be on hand to assist with any incidents which may occur although the organisers are very experienced and the event well run.
The following weekend is Dartmoor Ten Tors and although we don’t have a great deal to do with it, a couple of our team members will be acting as navigators for SARDA Handlers.
Sunday May 20th will see us at the St Michaels Way Walk which runs from Coast to Coast (St Erth – Marazion) via Carbis Bay, Knills Monument and Trencrom.
Another regular event which is well organised, this time by The Mounts Bay Rotary Club, our members provide rescue cover should it be required.
On top of all this, there is training, callouts and fund raising to be done and the National MR Meeting in N Wales.
