Cornwall Search and Rescue Team

Sunday 9th January 2011 at 20:28 hrs
The team were asked to assist with a search for a high risk missing person in the Probus area. As the team were mobilising the person was located safe and well by the emergency services, and the team stood down.
13 members were immediately available, and were en route to the callout. We wish the person well.
Friday 28th January 2011 at 16:00 hrs
Team placed on stand by for a missing 20 year old female. A number of search areas were identified, however police enquiries managed to locate the female prior to a full team call out.
Friday 4th February 2011 at 11:00 hrs
Search for a 42 year old local male described as despondant. Rescue 193 and HM Coastguard teams searched coastal areas, whilst CSRT searched the sand dunes and headlands around West Pentire and Crantock.
Male discovered 2 weeks later in the sea off Fistral Beach. Our thoughts are with his family.
Wednesday 16th February 2011 at 10:00 hrs
Search for a depressed 52 year old female after her car was found at Hell's Mouth car park at North Cliffs. HM Coastguard were already on scene along with Rescue 193, in very poor weather conditions.
The team was stood down en route after a body was located at the base of the cliffs and recovered by Rescue 193. Out thoughts go out to her family and friends.
