[5] SEARCH – Launceston, 26/01/2017 23:30

After initial contact from Devon & Cornwall Police, team search managers liaised with police search managers to plan the search for a 71-year-old female missing from the Tregadillet area near Launceston. With some team members already on Bodmin Moor completing annual navigation assessments, further members made their way to the RV at the village pub.

Two foot teams and two SARDA dog teams were deployed to areas of woodland and surrounding fields north of the village, with a vehicle team sweeping roads in the general area. With most of the search areas covered, the team stood down at 3:30am pending further police enquiries.

The next morning, as search managers were planning a continuation of the search, the missing female returned home safe and well, having apparently been out in the local area overnight.
