As the team were standing down from a morning call-out in the Nanpean area, gathered members were redeployed to a second search for a missing female in the Nancegollan area. Two foot teams, two search and rescue dog teams and a roving vehicle team rapidly deployed to join Devon & Cornwall Police and a Seaking helicopter from RNAS Culdrose to locate a high-risk female with Asperger’s syndrome.

After several hours searching farmland and rough open ground, the female was located safe and well by a search dog team late in the afternoon. She was able to walk out with the team and was safely handed over to a police unit.
